About the client

Morgan Law is seeking an Interim Group Accountant - Corporate for a local authority in London.

Accountabilities

• Supporting budget setting, monitoring, and forecasting across diverse service areas (Finance, IT and revs and bens, chief exec, HR, comms, legal, and policy)
• Providing clear, strategic financial analysis that drives smarter decision-making
• Challenging assumptions and influencing senior leaders to deliver efficiencies and value for money
• Acting as a bridge between finance and operations - turning numbers into real-world impact

Candidate Requirements

• CCAB or CIMA Qualified with post qualification finance / accounting experience (E)
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong Corporate experience working in a local authority organisation (E)
• Strong strategic FBP experience working in a local authority, ideally a London Borough (E)
