Interim Finance Officer (Rent and Service Charge)

Do you have a solid understanding of rental income and service charge accounting? Are you confident managing property and resident accounts with accuracy and attention to detail? Looking for a fully remote opportunity with a values-driven not-for-profit organisation?

Robertson Bell are delighted to be supporting an excellent not-for-profit organisation in their search for a Temporary Finance Officer (Rent & Service Charge) to join their finance team on an initial three-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive finance professional to support a critical function within a supportive, purpose-led organisation, all while working fully remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and update property and resident accounts on the rental ledger system
  • Ensure rental income is accurately recorded across both the rent ledger and finance systems
  • Reconcile data between systems to maintain consistency and financial integrity
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate resident billing
  • Support the team with any additional rent and service charge-related tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have strong knowledge and understanding of rental income and service charge accounting
  • Bring experience working with rental ledger systems (experience with Omni is desirable but not essential)
  • Be proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Be available to start at short notice and ready to hit the ground running
