The Opportunity: Lottie is seeking an experienced and commercially minded interim Finance Director to cover a maternity leave period of 7 8 months. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the finance function across operations and strategy, manage a team of three, maintain strong controls, and act as a key strategic partner during a pivotal stage of growth.
What does this role involve?- Finance Operations and Controls: Provide oversight on month end close, maintain and improve cross functional finance processes, and ensure compliance across all areas, including statutory filings, audit preparation, and EMI scheme administration.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a team of three finance professionals, fostering a high performing and collaborative environment.
- Strategic Finance & Business Partnering: Support strategy planning and re forecasting, provide clear and actionable insights to leadership, and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Best in Class Finance Operations: Keep controls and reporting audit ready as the company scales.
- Shape FP&A Function: Build robust processes around strategy planning, forecasting, and business partnering.
- Seamless Transition: Maintain continuity of the finance function during the interim period.
- Strong track record in finance leadership within a startup or high growth environment.
- Comfortable with both practical month end work and strategic reporting to the CEO or board.
- Understanding of venture backed business mechanics-unit economics, SaaS or marketplace metrics, investor reporting-and the ability to apply this lens across the organization.
- Experience with statutory compliance, audit processes, and share option scheme administration (EMI experience is a plus).
- Ability to move quickly, communicate clearly, and self direct tasks without extensive hand holding.
- Interim experience or genuine excitement for a fixed term remit.
- You require a large team or significant infrastructure to operate effectively.
- You prefer a steady state role with well defined processes while the company is still rapidly evolving.

- You are seeking a long term permanent position; this role is fixed term.
