Rate: £300 per day
Contract: Ongoing interim contract with potential to go permanent
We are supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Plymouth that is seeking an experienced Interim Category Manager to support its procurement function during a period of change and growth.
The role will focus on managing key spend categories, driving cost savings, improving supplier performance, and supporting longer-term procurement strategy. There is a strong opportunity for the position to convert to a permanent role for the right individual.
Key responsibilities- Manage and develop assigned procurement categories
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract management
- Deliver cost reduction and value improvement initiatives
- Partner with internal stakeholders across operations and engineering
- Proven experience as a Category Manager within manufacturing or engineering
- Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills
- Able to hit the ground running in an interim environment
