Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic Integration Leadto contribute to theNet Zero Teesside(NZT) project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland.

As Integration Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination of BBK's work packages across multiple disciplines and with external stakeholders. You'll act as the focal point for integration between mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, digital, and process elements, making sure that designs, construction activities, and commissioning plans are fully aligned and constructible. This is a senior role, operating across engineering, planning, procurement, and construction, and requires strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead integration across all BBK scopes (MEP, process tie ins, control systems, modular systems)
  • Manage interfaces with client, licensors, EPC partners, and other contractors
  • Oversee multi disciplinary design reviews, ensuring constructability and compliance with project requirements
  • Develop and maintain interface management plans, trackers, and risk registers
  • Coordinate sequencing, scheduling, and commissioning activities to avoid clashes and delays
  • Act as primary point of contact for technical and delivery issues that cut across packages
  • Provide leadership in resolving integration challenges during design and construction
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across integrated systems
  • Report progress, risks, and integration status to senior project leadership
  • Capture lessons learned and supported continuous improvement

The successful candidate will have the following personal qualities and experience:

  • Degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or related engineering discipline
  • Strong track record in delivering complex industrial or energy projects (power generation, petrochemical, oil & gas, or process plants)
  • Proven experience in multi disciplinary coordination and interface management
  • Knowledge of MEP systems, process plant integration, and commissioning planning
