Job Description

Role: Inspector

Location: Homebased - North

Specialism: Adult Social Care

Grade B: £39,784 (National Framework) or £45,456 (London Framework - if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25).

Contract Type: Permanent & Secondment opportunities are available.

Contracted Hours: Full time 37 hours per week, part time hours & flexible working requests will also be considered.

About the role:

We are recruiting Adult Social Care professionals aiming to develop a career as an Inspector in the North region.

As a CQC Inspector, you will be a sector specialist conducting regulation, observation visits, inspections, and evidence gathering to assess quality and safety across Health and Social Care providers in England. Your work will ensure that services deliver the highest standards of care, protecting vulnerable communities.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Adult Social Care expertise and a passion to work in CQC.
  • Experience in Health, Social Care, NHS, or regulatory environment, preferably at management level.
  • Strong background in assessment, regulation, and managing provider regulatory risk.
  • Ability to translate regulatory policy into practical action.
  • Operational risk management expertise.
  • Analytical skills and experience in driving innovation and improvement.
  • Ability to use data for decision-making and quality enhancement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration and managing difficult conversations.
  • Experience in assurance and quality management processes.
  • This is a home-based role, but travel within the North region is required.

Travel Required: Regular travel within the Network area.
