Job DescriptionThe Inquests Solicitor will be:
- Managing a varied caseload of advisory and litigation matters in the inquests/regulatory space
- Representing clients at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals
- Handling all stages of case strategy, preparation, and advocacy
- Providing excellent client care and building client relationships
- Get involved in business development and team growth
- Supervising and mentoring more junior team members
- Assisting with operational and strategic initiatives within the team
- Keeping abreast of legal developments in inquests, public law and regulatory matters
The Inquests Solicitor should be / have;
- A solicitor ideally with 7 years plus PQE
- Experienced in inquests, public law litigation, regulatory work or related areas
- Skilled in advocacy and courtroom practice
- Strong in client engagement, drafting, negotiation and strategy
- Able to manage and prioritise a demanding caseload
- Comfortable supervising more junior staff
- Business minded with interest in business development
- Ties to Leeds
You'll be offered a salary circa £65,000 - £72,000, plus excellent benefits including a generous holiday allowance, flexible / hybrid working options and clear promotion pathways.
