Job Description
Inpatient Bookings Administrator 
Location: Plymouth Hospital Contract: Permanent Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £25,038 per annum.
Our Inpatient Bookings Team currently has an opportunity for a new team member. Join us and be supported to be your best.
Responsibilities- Deal with all administration tasks for inpatient bookings including booking theatre slots, pre-assessment appointments, liaising with consultants, patients and various departments around the hospital and processing patient details.
- Handle telephone enquiries efficiently and effectively, providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure all data/information is entered, modified, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure that work is carried out to required standard and within agreed working practices and procedures, prioritising the workload as necessary.
- Have good communication and inter personal skills.
- Be a good team player.
- Have the ability to work independently.
- Have good IT and keyboard skills, requiring experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Have experience within an administrative or customer facing environment (advantage).
- Have the ability and confidence to engage with a variety of people including consultants, secretaries and patients.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, with a positive can do attitude.
- Stay calm under pressure with the ability to multi skill.
- Excellent organisational skills are paramount.
