Job Description

Work location: Nottingham or Sheffield, hybrid: 1 office day per week. The current team collaboration office day is Wednesday.

Must be eligible for SC Clearance (UK resident for the last 5 years) and willing to undergo NPPV3 clearance.

The role and what you'll be doing:

We're seeking a technically skilled, solutions-focused Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. If you enjoy exploring systems, solving complex problems, and working across a broad tech stack, this role offers variety and challenge.

You'll be part of a team that values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Whether you're resolving major incidents, supporting service transitions, or troubleshooting issues, your expertise will make a real impact.

You will be:
  • Delivering proactive 3rd line support across technologies including Windows, Linux, Azure, and virtualization platforms.
  • Acting as a technical escalation point and collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Supporting infrastructure elements of projects and client transitions.
  • Maintaining service levels and contributing to operational excellence.
  • Creating clear documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues in your areas of expertise.
What you'll bring:
  • Strong experience in infrastructure support-Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, networking, and cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and backup technologies.
  • A methodical troubleshooting approach and solid security principles understanding.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
  • Certifications such as MCSE, VCP, CCNA, or Azure equivalents, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Bonus if you've worked with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet, or have multi-cloud experience.
