Information Security Consultant (Junior - Mid Level)

InterQuest are exclusively working with a boutique InfoSec consultancy to bolster their ranks due to pure client demand. It's all hands on deck as we look to grow the IT Risk function and in search of Information Security Consultants (from a Junior to Mid-Level) to join our growing team in Utrecht on a hybrid basis.

This opportunity is perfect for someone with 1+ years of experience in IT security, risk, or compliance, particularly with a focus on SOC2 and ISAE 3402 as you'll work alongside senior consultants from day to upskill and get your further in your career.

In this role, you'll assist in conducting security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews, gaining hands-on experience with industry standards while developing your expertise in IT risk and assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior consultants in SOC2 and ISAE 3402 readiness assessments, audits, and reporting.
• Assist with gap analyses, control testing, and evidence collection for compliance projects.
• Help clients implement and improve security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Conduct vendor security assessments and third-party risk reviews.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements affecting FinTech and Financial Services.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ years of experience in IT security, IT audit, risk management, or compliance.
• Exposure to SOC2, ISAE 3402, ISO 27001, or other security frameworks.
• Basic understanding of IT controls, cloud security, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in security compliance and consulting.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written & spoken) - Dutch proficiency is mandatory.
