Information Security Analyst -
Job Title: Information Security Analyst
Location: Any UK Naval Ships site - Scotstoun, Filton, New Malden, Frimley, Portsmouth or Dorchester. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £43,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
Acting as the initial point of contact for Information Security queries and issues across BAE Systems Naval Ships
Providing day to day operational support to the information security function ensuring processes run smoothly and effectively
Developing process and policy development where gaps are identified this includes assisting with the drafting, reviewing and maintaining information Security policies, standards and procedures
Monitoring and triaging Security Incidents gathering evidence, preparing reports and liaising with relevant stakeholders
Providing security awareness guidance to staff promoting good Information Security throughout BAE Systems Naval Ships
Analysing Security Data to identify patterns, detect anomalies in order to identify risks to BAE Systems Naval Ships
Your skills and experiences:
Knowledge of IT Infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area network, etc) and associated security controls
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Information Security principles
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Working towards Information Security qualification (e.g. MSc, CISM, CISSP)
Experience in a similar role within Defence industry or a similar high hazard/regulated industry (oil/gas/banking)
Industry recognized Information Security or audit qualification
Relevant degree or equivalent in Security or Information Technology related subject

Spread across multiple sites and involved in key programmes such as Type 26, Canadian River Class Destroyer, and Hunter Class, the team plays a critical role in protecting the sensitive information of our organisation, customers, partners, and suppliers.
