Industrial Designer

Job Description

You will:

• Lead projects and advise client in bring new products and experiences to life
• Build strong client relationships for key accountsto delivergreat workandidentifynewbusinessopportunities
• Write proposals and pitch to clients alongside the team
• Lead teams to design and develop consumer electronics and similar devices for mass production
• Build compelling design narratives that convey the brand and audience you are designing for
• Provide creative direction and guidance to research,designand delivery teams
• Think and act strategically and guide our clients with compelling solutions
• Possess a strong aesthetic sensibility and a great eye for detail
• Design holistic user experiences
• Have a sustainability mindset when developing new concept ideas

With full R&D facilities and a highly experienced team you will have the equipment, encouragement, andexpertiseto fully develop your concepts from early crafted visions through to fully working prototypes and design for manufacture. Our work environment is second to none - a fully equipped 1,500 sq m. combined studio, workshops and labs designed tomaximiseexperimentation, creativity, and fast progress.

PA's Irish studiois located inthe beautiful surroundings of Co. Wicklow - 'the Garden of Ireland' - known for hiking, cycling, trail running and other outdoor activities. The office is five minutes from Bray's seafront where people enjoy walks, sea swimming, surfing, cafes, and restaurants, and 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre, for those looking for more vibrant evenings,weekendsand nightlife.

Qualifications

• Excellent portfolio of industrial design experienceshowcasingyour skills, thinking, andmethodology
• Minimum 3 years professional experience (ideally in consultancy but not essential)
• Fluent and confident with hand sketching and craft modelling
• Exceptional aesthetic sensibility
• Empathetic to user needs, motivations, andbehaviours
• Thorough understanding of three-dimensional design and skilled with Rhino/Solid Works andKeyshot(or similar).
• Proficiencyacross multiple design tools you will use in projects (e.g.Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative suite, Teams etc.)
• Experienced at tuning in to brand values and crafting compelling stories
• Experience working with consumer and healthcare brands is a positive but not essential
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong ability to articulate and convince others of your ideas and strategies
• Solid understanding of industry trends and advancements in design and creativity
• Good understanding of engineering and manufacturing requirements
• Knowledgeable and passionate about emerging technologies (AI, Machine learning, Generative AI, XR, etc.) and its impact on design solutions.
