About the role:

This role is based at our Preston Office. It involves regular travel, and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle are considered essential. If you are unable to drive because of a disability, please indicate this in your application in your personal statement so we can explore alternative arrangements.

As an ISAC you will be:

  • Focusing on victims at high risk of harm from stalking and harassment, providing proactive, short to medium-term crisis intervention services through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional, and practical support.
  • Supporting victims face-to-face or by telephone to access services that ensure their safety and that of their family.
  • Developing individual safety plans tailored to clients' needs as identified in the needs & risk assessment.
  • Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support, and information on legal & civil options, housing, health & finance, as well as support through the criminal justice system.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to represent the client and ensure follow-up actions.

You will need:

  • A good understanding of stalking, harassment & domestic abuse
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse-related harassment and stalking & its impact
  • Experience of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
  • Knowledge of safeguarding & the legal responsibilities surrounding this
  • Theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies
  • Experience working within a multi-agency & legislative framework
  • The ability to manage a complex caseload & prioritize effectively
  • Strong crisis management skills & the ability to handle stressful & difficult situations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills, both written and verbal
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and case management systems
