Job Description
Corgi Insurance - In-House Recruiter (London)
Corgi Insurance is an AI-powered insurance company designed for tech startups. The company has raised $108M and holds regulatory approval as a licensed carrier. Corgi is scaling rapidly across San Francisco, London, and the EU, with aggressive hiring targets in engineering, operations, finance, and insurance.
The Role- This is not a traditional recruiting role focused solely on process management.
- The recruiter is expected to run a "flywheel": source, screen, and close candidates, then rebuild the funnel for the next role.
- The role requires proactive sourcing, not just managing inbound applications.
- The recruiter must be able to sell the company, the role, and the growth trajectory to candidates, and negotiate offers assertively.
- Speed and adaptability are essential; calibration with hiring managers should happen in days, not weeks.
- The recruiter must be resourceful and able to figure out new tools, geographies, and role types independently.
- Intense, driven, and operated with urgency, understanding the critical impact of each hire.
- Prior experience in in-house recruiting at a fast-moving startup, with a clear understanding of high standards.
- Strong outbound sourcing skills; inbound is a bonus, but outbound is the core responsibility.
- Proven ability to close candidates and negotiate offers confidently.
- Fast learner who can quickly adapt to new challenges and requirements.
- Self-sufficient and solution-oriented, with a default approach of figuring things out independently.
- We prioritize making decisions quickly over waiting for perfect answers.
- Communication is transparent and public-first; private channels are discouraged.
- Team members are expected to bring solutions along with problems.
- Intensity and effort are maintained consistently, not just during high-pressure periods.
- Internal competition is encouraged; strong performers set new standards.
- This is a role for builders, not for those looking to coast.
- Engaging in office politics, blame-shifting, or gossip.
- Taking direct feedback personally instead of constructively.
- Creating unnecessary overhead rather than streamlining processes.
- Failing to follow through promptly after committing to deadlines.
London-based; on site or hybrid work arrangements available. Compensation: £60,000 to £100,000 base salary, plus equity. The wide salary band reflects a commitment to paying top of market for exceptional, high intensity in house recruiters.
