Job Description
Contract: Part Time , Permanent
Salary: Up to £ 42,000 per annum
Hours: 24 per week

Our head offices based in the beautiful village of Hook Norton near Banbury. Here you will find our teams of finance, HR, purchasing, marketing & creative that support all of our locations across the Thomas Franks family. There is ample parking space available when visiting.

This is a new and exciting head office role in supporting and advising a dynamic, fast paced, growing business with its legal needs. These include, but not limited to, commercial contracts, supplier agreements and NDA's. There is scope to develop in this role as the business expands and diversifies providing an excellent opportunity for any individual who wants to be part of a global, expanding business

The role is working from home with the occasional need to work at the head office in Hook Norton. You will be working closely with the directors in the business across sales, operations and purchasing in the drafting and negotiation of client and supplier contracts and advising on legal risk. The role covers overseas where you will be working with local lawyers in drafting contracts according to local laws and practices.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft and review a wide range of commercial contracts/agreements relating to clients and third parties
  • Manage and maintain the legal document library/contract database
  • Support the negotiation and drafting of a variety of commercial deals which sit across the business's portfolio of clients
  • Support the operations and sales teams in legal discussions at client meetings where required
  • Assist the purchasing team in the reviewing and drafting of supplier agreements
  • Assist in the draft and updating of the business's internal policies and regulations and monitor their compliance with the effective legal provisions
  • Provide legal and professional support to the management and company directors on a range of other legal matters when required
  • Ensuring the Company's trademark portfolio is maintained
  • Report regularly to the Group CFO on contract status and participate in team meetings and business events

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualifying legal experience or completing a para-legal training
  • Prior in-house experience in a commercial entity would be an advantage
  • It's essential that you have prior experience drafting contracts

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to understand one or more European language
  • Experience of working in a similar multi-site organisation
  • Experience of buying commodities/services

  • Keen to learn
  • Strong communication skills (including but not limited to having strong drafting skills, ability to clearly and concisely explain concepts) and to be able to see the bigger picture by providing commercially sound advice.

Hours - 24 hours per week, flexible. Flexibility will consist of varying weekly hours to support the needs of the business and averaging at 24 hours per week
