Job Description

We are working with a rapidly expanding and global private education business with ambitious growth plans over the course of the next 6-12 months.

The contract duration will be a 6-month Fixed Term Contract initially with possibilities of extensions or longer term position. Please note, this is not guaranteed but there are intentions of growing the team further in the future.

This business is fast paced and can offer interesting and exciting corporate M&A work for a hardworking, ambitious and engaging corporate lawyer with experience of handling deals, transactions and mergers & acquisitions. Experience completing due diligence, M&A/ integration work and running deals through to completion is highly desired.

You will work with a well-established team of other corporate and commercial lawyers on global acquisitions and due diligence work and will also have exposure to other areas such as commercial and real estate matters at times with the support of other lawyers and panel law firms.

This role would suit:

  • UK or otherwise qualified corporate lawyer/Solicitor with 3-8 years PQE.
  • Someone who has worked in dynamic, fast paced environments and knows the pace at which things need to move when it comes to acquisitions and growth plans.
  • Commercially minded and solutions focused lawyer.
  • A lawyer who is familiar with running M&A deals and transactions from start to finish and has been involved in full life cycle of acquisitions work or with the support of senior lawyer.
  • Someone who is hands on and pro-active and keen to work closely with the business and build relationships.
  • Someone with either in-house or private practice experience - but must be commercially minded and able to work directly with diverse level of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Someone with international exposure
  • Someone who would like an opportunity to work in-house with a global and high growth business

Candidate Availability: This role requires an immediate start and will move exceptionally quickly so please ensure you are able to do this before applying. 1 month notice periods will be problematic for our client so please ensure you are immediately available or able to start no later than the 1st April 2024.

Hybrid working: This role requires 3 days a week in central london offices.
