RCJ Advice is an independent charity based originally out of the Royal Courts of Justice in central London, providing a number of local and national services. In collaboration with national Citizens Advice, we run a national service that offers advice and support to staff and volunteers from local Citizens Advice charities across England & Wales on immigration legal matters, enabling them to better support their clients. By supporting the local charities, we help build their confidence and knowledge to handle queries themselves in the future.
Responsibilities- Provide advice and guidance focused on Level 1 and 2 immigration queries through a national telephone helpline.
- Support casework as required.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with staff and volunteers across other services.
- Level of understanding of immigration law and rules.
- Minimum six months experience giving immigration advice, either solely or as part of general advice.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to conduct research and communicate complex information in an understandable way.
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am 5pm. Hybrid role: at least two days per week in the Royal Courts of Justice office, with option to home work up to three days per week.
