Job Description
Job Overview 
General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a full time Senior ILS Engineer based in Merthyr Tydfil.
Salary£45,600 to £57,000 based on experience and potential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide qualitative service to Support Engineering to ensure LSAR/CSBD/IETP deliveries meet GDLS UK SV Program requirements.
- Produce ILS and supportability documentation in line with contractual programme requirements.
- Support technical publications discipline and produce IETPs in line with project demands and deadlines.
- Manipulate data to produce various reports and managerial aids.
- Day to day support and management for LSAR and client software.
- Act as LSAR subject matter expert to the SV Program.
- Carry out maintenance task analysis as required.
- Plan, direct, control and monitor LSAR activities in support of the SV program.
- Ensure LSA data deliveries import and export in the correct format for inclusion within LSAR and for delivery to the customer.
- Configure management of LSAR deliveries.
- Day to day support and management for the Initial Provisioning database and client software.
- Thorough working knowledge of the EAGLE LSAR Database.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of DEF STAN , S1000D, S2000M and SGML creation and management.
- Good understanding of current MoD (Tri Service) maintenance strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Thorough working knowledge of modern IT working practices.
- Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of tailoring working practices/processes to satisfy contractual requirements.
- Prepare written technical reports.
- Hold or be capable of holding security clearance up to the level of SECRET.
- Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Familiarity with current British Army tracked and wheeled vehicles.
- Familiar with relevant Defence Standards, JSP886, Military Standards and EC Directives.
- Ability to work under pressure in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
