IIoT Technical Lead and Developer (Ignition Focus)
6 month contract (extensions likely)
Belgium (Remote)

Superb consulting client is seeking an IIoT Technical Lead and Developer for an initial 6 month contract, fully remote from Belgium.
You will help design Ignition architecture, define tag models, develop integration patterns and guide teams and collaborate with engineeers for an energy project.

Skills needed;

• Ignition Expertise
  • 4-8+ years implementing solutions with Ignition 8.x.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Gateway architecture, Perspective/Vision, Tag Historian, Alarming, Reporting, SSO, and Gateway Network (multi-site).
  • Proficient in Python/Jython for Scripting and automation.
  • Installation of different architecture of SCADA solution (Eg: Monolithic, Enterprise and Hub and Spoke etc)
• Industrial Connectivity & OT
  • Deep knowledge of OPC UA, MQTT (Sparkplug B), Modbus, Ethernet/IP.
  • Practical experience integrating Kepware and connecting to multiple PLC families.
  • Understanding of SCADA/MES concepts, data life cycles, and shop-floor realities.
• Cloud & Enterprise Integration
  • Experience integrating with Azure (eg, IoT Hub, Event Hubs, Functions, Storage) or similar cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines and historian/BI integrations.
• Security & Compliance
  • Working knowledge of ISA-95 and IEC 62443 principles, certificate management, network segmentation, and secure tunneling.
