Job Description

IFA Administrator / Wealth Planning Administrator

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 depending on experience

Hybrid: Monday & Friday working from home after probation

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced IFA Administrator or Wealth Planning Administrator looking for a role where you'll be trusted with responsibility, genuinely valued and part of a close-knit team, working closely with Advisers, and become an important part of a growing Cambridge office?

This could be a great opportunity to join a Chartered Independent financial planning business, where we've placed several people ourselves, and they're still there, happy and thriving.

You'll support two Financial Advisers, take ownership of a varied wealth planning admin workload and play an important role in helping the Cambridge office continue to grow.

The Company

This is a highly respected Chartered Independent Financial Planning firm with around 25 employees across its Cambridge and Stansted offices. The business specialises in holistic financial planning for high-net-worth clients and has built a strong reputation for client service, employee wellbeing and developing its people.

The culture is a real selling point. It's a friendly, collaborative and supportive environment where people know each other well and genuinely enjoy working together.

The Role

You'll support two Financial Advisers across a varied range of wealth planning administration, while also helping to keep the Cambridge office running smoothly, and greeting clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting two Financial Advisers with all aspects of wealth planning administration
  • Processing new business across pensions, investments and protection
  • Preparing client documentation, meeting packs and annual review paperwork
  • Liaising with clients and providers to progress cases efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate client records and back-office systems
  • Welcoming clients into the office and acting as the first point of contact
  • Helping with the day-to-day running of the Cambridge office
  • Managing stationery and general office requirements
  • Opening and closing the office
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across both offices

It's a role that would suit someone who enjoys being organised, taking ownership and having a varied day,

Location breakdown - Cambridge & Stansted

You'll be predominantly based in the Cambridge office, with Monday and Friday working from home, starting right from when you join. As the main office is in Stansted Mountfitchet, there will be an initial month-long bedding-in period based at Stansted for the three office days worked per week - giving you the opportunity to get to know the wider team, learn the business and build relationships with colleagues.

Once you're established in the role, you'll continue to spend one day every fortnight at the Stansted office, alongside your usual Cambridge/ working from home pattern. This means you'll have the benefit of being part of the close-knit Cambridge team while still staying connected with the wider business.

What's on Offer

  • £33,000 - £37,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working with Monday & Friday from home
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • 6% employer pension contribution
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Critical Illness Cover
  • Death in Service
  • Full exam support towards the Diploma in Financial Planning, if desired
  • Genuine long-term career development within a growing Chartered firm
  • Opportunity to become a key part of the growing Cambridge office
  • A friendly, collaborative team with an excellent reputation for employee retention

If you're looking for a varied IFA Administration role within a genuinely supportive Chartered business, where you'll work closely with Advisers, have responsibility and become an important part of a growing Cambridge office, I'd be really interested in speaking with you.
