Job Description
Hydrologist / Hydraulic Modeller - Dublin (Hybrid)

A leading international consultancy is continuing to expand its Flood Risk & Water team in Dublin and is looking to bring in a Hydrologist / Hydraulic Modeller to support a strong pipeline of projects across Ireland and internationally.

This role sits within a well-established, highly technical team working on flood risk, catchment and resilience-focused projects. You'll be involved in shaping solutions that directly respond to climate change challenges, while building your technical expertise and project exposure in a multidisciplinary environment.

Projects:
  • Major flood relief and risk management schemes typically ranging from €10M up to €150M+
  • Catchment-scale studies and climate resilience strategies for public and private sector clients
  • Infrastructure and development projects requiring flood risk assessment and drainage strategy
  • Projects involving hydrology, hydraulic modelling and nature-based solutions
Role:
  • Undertaking hydrological analysis and hydraulic modelling across a range of projects
  • Supporting the delivery of flood risk assessments and drainage strategies
  • Contributing to project delivery from feasibility through to detailed design
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across civil, environmental and infrastructure projects
  • Supporting ground investigation data interpretation and model development
  • Preparing technical reports and contributing to client deliverables
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting knowledge sharing
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or a related discipline
  • Experience in hydrology and/or hydraulic modelling within a consultancy or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of hydrological processes and modelling techniques Salary & Benefits:
    • €50.000 - 60,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Pension
