HVAC Project Manager

Overview

The HVAC Project Manager will lead the delivery of commercial air conditioning projects across Kent and Surrey. This contract role involves managing schemes valued between £300k and £500k, primarily focusing on VRV/VRF systems, splits and multi splits, with full programme management, budget oversight, subcontractor coordination and client relationship handling. The position offers a hybrid working pattern that combines office presence in Kent, on site attendance and work from home flexibility. The role requires strong organisational ability, technical proficiency in HVAC systems, and a commitment to safe, timely and high quality project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for end to end project delivery, from handover to completion.
• Manage commercial HVAC installations including VRV/VRF, split and multi split systems.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, labour plans and procurement schedules.
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs, variations and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Lead site meetings and act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee commissioning, snagging and handover documentation.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management.

Experience and Skills Required

• Proven experience managing commercial HVAC installation projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of VRV/VRF and split systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Good commercial awareness and experience managing budgets.
• Excellent communication and client facing skills.
• SMSTS/SSSTS and relevant health and safety knowledge desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
