HVAC Engineer (Mobile)

Salary: Up to £44,000 + Healthcare
Contract: Permanent
Location: Ideally Crewe or Northwich (covering regional sites)
Vehicle: Company van (personal use permitted, taxable)

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday

• 8:00am-5:00pm or 7:00am-4:00pm

• 30 minutes travel each way included (7:30am log on)

• Flexibility available to support childcare needs

On-Call:

• 1 in 8 rota (issued 3 months in advance)

• £115 weekly retainer

• Call-outs paid at applicable overtime rate (first 4 hours paid at standard rate depending on time/day)

• Time off in lieu for bank holiday call-outs

• Low call-out frequency

• Supervisor and helpdesk support provided

Overtime available occasionally (e.g., out-of-hours AC repairs), typically light and optional.

Role Overview

A varied mobile engineering role covering sites including Birkenhead, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke, Chester, Crewe, Northwich, Macclesfield, Runcorn, Buxton, Connah's Quay and surrounding areas.

Approximately 50-60% of the role involves general building maintenance, with the remainder focused on AC and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

• PPM and reactive maintenance on AC systems (mainly under 10 years old)

• Working on Daikin and Toshiba units

• Changing belts and filters, checking sensors and system controls

• General maintenance tasks (lighting repairs, plumbing fixes such as toilet mechanisms)

• Supporting wider engineering team when required

Requirements

• Level 2 AC + F-Gas Category 1 (minimum)

• Level 3 Installation + F-Gas Category 1 (ideal)

• FM experience desirable

• Installation experience beneficial

• Full UK driving licence

• BPSS clearance required
