Engage Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teachers to work across a range of supportive and high-achieving secondary schools in Bromley. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we have fantastic opportunities to help you take the next step in your teaching career.

The successful candidate will teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your subject specialism and experience.

The Role

As a Humanities Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring Humanities lessons.
  • Teach one or more Humanities subjects, including History, Geography, or Religious Education, depending on your experience.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing targeted intervention where required.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support them in achieving their full academic potential.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the Humanities department.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, and academic achievement.
We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Humanities within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Religious Education, or a related Humanities subject.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for inspiring young people and making learning engaging and relevant.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
