Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist for our client in Macroom to review, strengthen, and support our HR function over a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation, support organisational change initiatives, and provide practical HR guidance across the business. This is a 12-month contract, part-time working 20 hours hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

• Review existing HR practices and recommend improvements.
• Update employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
• Develop and implement new HR policies where required.
• Support organisational change processes, including potential redundancies, ensuring fair and compliant procedures.
• Act as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues.
• Deliver HR training and guidance to managers and employees.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure ongoing compliance with employment legislation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment law.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
