Human Resources Administrator (HRADMIN26)

Applications are now invited for the following position: Human Resources Administrator (Full time, specified purpose contract). The successful applicant must have at least two years of general HR administration experience, including at least one year of specific recruitment administration experience, and be able to manage a busy workload within the HR team. Candidates should also possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, be confidential and discreet, and have experience in interviewing as part of the selection process. An ongoing qualification in Human Resources leading to CIPD accreditation is desirable.

The Role

Human Resources Administrator - 1.0 WTE, full time, specified purpose. The HR Administrator will report to the HR Manager and will perform a range of HR duties including recruitment, training, absence management, performance management & disputes, and general HR administration.

Duties
  • Administration of HR functions such as recruitment, health & safety, training & development, absence management, performance management & development, grievance & disputes, and ad hoc HR duties.
  • Full recruitment and selection lifecycle for allocated competitions: liaise with recruiting managers and applicants, schedule interviews, act as HR representative on interview panels, prepare interview documentation, offer employment and manage post interview onboarding.
  • Support training and development programmes: manage and report mandatory training records, liaise with training providers, process staff training and funding applications.
  • Manage departmental data and produce reports.
  • Respond to day to day queries (e.g., letters confirming employment).
  • Maintain comprehensive filing systems for all staff, both electronic and physical.
  • Administer and update computerized HR systems.
  • Assist with HR projects as assigned.
  • Participate in learning and development activities.
  • Escalate issues/queries as necessary and liaise with other departments, managers and supervisors.
Person Specification Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum two years general HR administration experience.
  • At least one year of specific recruitment admin experience.
  • Experience in interviewing as part of the overall selection process.
  • Currently pursuing or holding a qualification in Human Resources leading to CIPD accreditation (desirable).

Terms and Conditions
  • Full time, specified purpose contract, based on SPMHS Clerical Grade IV scale.
  • Working week Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00.
  • Probation six months with ongoing review.
  • Health requirement: fully competent and capable to perform duties.
  • Eligibility for pension; retirement age 66.
