What's the role?Bloomberg Sourcing specialises in identifying and engaging exceptional talent for both immediate hiring needs and future workforce planning. As part of our Talent Acquisition function, you will partner closely with Recruiters, Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to build sustainable, high-quality talent pipelines across Corporate Functions.
We are looking for a sourcing specialist who understands that sourcing is not merely a transactional resource, it is a strategic discipline that underpins recruitment success. You will be expected to develop long-term candidate generation strategies, map talent markets, uncover passive and hard-to-reach professionals and position Bloomberg compellingly to high-calibre corporate talent.
This role will be aligned to Bloomberg's Corporate Functions business across both EMEA and AMER. Core areas include: Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Tax, Audit, Supply Chain and Workplace Operations.
You will become a trusted partner to the Corporate Functions business by developing deep market knowledge, understanding role nuances and providing credible talent intelligence that shapes hiring decisions.
Please note that this role is currently being offered as a 12-month fixed term contract
We'll trust you to:- Develop and execute sustainable candidate generation strategies across Corporate Functions disciplines (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Tax, Audit, Supply Chain and related areas)
- Identify and engage high-quality passive talent using advanced research, headhunting and market-mapping techniques
- Build and maintain proactive, diverse pipelines for critical and niche roles across EMEA and AMER
- Partner closely with Recruiters to ensure alignment on search strategy, calibration, candidate quality and market positioning
- Provide market intelligence including competitor analysis, talent availability insights and compensation trends to inform hiring strategy
- Act as a brand ambassador for Bloomberg, delivering thoughtful, high-quality candidate engagement
- Manage and nurture prospective candidates for current and future opportunities
- Maintain accurate documentation of search activity and candidate engagement within the ATS/CRM
- Continuously refine sourcing approaches, tools and methodologies to increase effectiveness and impact
- Operate with an enterprise, team-first mindset, recognising that we are all striving to achieve the same goal: securing the best talent for Bloomberg
- A minimum of 4+ years' experience sourcing or recruiting within Corporate Functions
- Preference for in-depth experience gained within a specialist Corporate Functions recruitment agency (e.g. large international search firms or established mid-tier corporate recruitment agencies) and / or a Corporate Functions focused role in-house
- Demonstrated success developing long-term talent mapping and proactive sourcing strategies, not just reacting to live roles
- Proven ability to identify, approach and convert passive and "hidden" talent in competitive markets
- Excellent understanding of how Corporate Functions operate within complex, global organisations
- Experience supporting hiring across multiple regions, ideally with exposure to EMEA and/or AMER markets
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility with Recruiters, HR and business leaders
- A collaborative, resilient and solutions-focused mindset
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously without compromising quality
