Job Description

Power Conversion Solution (PCS) is the new Global Products Group within Hitachi Energy, created through the merger of the GES and PCS teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk identification and assessments.
  • Plan, monitor, and evaluate preventive measures in the workplace.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for management, participating in decision-making meetings.
  • Implement and oversee compliance with ISO 45001 standards supporting area managers.
  • Maintain and update emergency plans.
  • Conducting training sessions and organizing regular emergency drills to ensure the team is well-prepared and compliant with safety protocols.
  • Ensuring that personal protective equipment (PPE) and operational controls meet safety requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Performing site visits and inspections across the region (Europe) to ensure project compliance and progress.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Technical Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (covering Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering sector.
  • B2-level English or higher.
  • Willing to travel 40% of the time across Europe
  • Strong skills in communication, attention to detail, proactiveness, and continuous learning.
  • Knowledge of national and international health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Internal auditor certification for ISO14001, ISO45001
