Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to join a successful engineering business delivering projects across a variety of sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, promoting best practice, and driving a positive safety culture.

Working across multiple sites within London, you will provide expert health, safety and environmental advice to managers, engineers and site teams, ensuring compliance with legislation, company procedures and industry standards.

HSE Manager - Benefits
  • £42,000 - £50,000 per annum plus travel expenses
  • Monday - Friday / 8am - 5pm (40hrs)

HSE Manager - Job Overview
  • Give advice and guidance on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental issues at all stages of a contract.
  • Conduct HSE inspections on sites in London.
  • Lead or assist on all accident and incident investigations.
  • Give guidance and professional advice in the production of site-specific risk assessments and method statements supporting operations.
  • Assist with the completion of tenders.
  • Support and control external audits by accreditation bodies or clients.
  • Assist with the co-ordination and completion of DSE assessments and associated paperwork for all employees.
  • Complete the H&S Induction with all employees on the first day of employment.
  • Produce monthly HSE reports for presentation to the Executive Board members.
  • Attend senior management team meetings to give HSE statistics, areas of development and take responsibility for any actions as required.
  • Conduct regular sub-contractor control inspections on company sites.
  • Keep up to date with changes in current legislation.
HSE Manager - Skills & Experience Required
  • NEBOSH (Construction or General) Certificate is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role / environment.
  • A thorough knowledge of ISO 45001.
  • Member of Tech IOSH.
  • CSCS Safety Professional card is preferable.
