About the Role
A leading Agri-Food organisation in the North West/Border region is seeking an experienced HRIS Programme Manager to join its IT team ahead of a major infrastructure project commencing in the new year.
The HRIS Programme Manager will lead and coordinate multiple HRIS workstreams, with a primary focus on implementing a new SAP Payroll system. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic and operational HR technology initiatives across the business.
The position is offered on a hybrid basis, requiring onsite presence 2 (occasionally 3) days per week. Initially a 6-month contract, there is a strong likelihood of extension due to the scale of the project.
Please note that at present this role not available on a fully remote basis
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management (HRIS Workstreams):
- Oversee delivery of multiple HRIS-related projects.
- Ensure alignment of HRIS initiatives with business goals and HR strategy.
- Manage interdependencies, risks, and resource allocation across workstreams.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams and stakeholders, including regular programme status updates.
Project Management (SAP Payroll Implementation):
- Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP Payroll, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to define scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage configuration, testing, data migration, and go-live activities.
- Ensure payroll compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements.
Required Experience & Skills
- Degree in HR, IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5+ years senior IT project management experience.
- Proven experience in programme management of HRIS systems in complex environments.
- Strong project management experience delivering SAP Payroll (SuccessFactors, ECP, or SAP HCM).
- Detailed understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and integrations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in matrixed or global organisations.
Desirable
- SAP certification in Payroll or HR modules.
- Familiarity with GDPR and data privacy in HR systems.
- Project management certification (eg, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
