Job Description

We're partnering with a well-established, international media organisation undergoing a period of transformation to hire an experienced HR Generalist on a fixed term, 12 month basis.

This is a broad, hands on role supporting c.150 employees across the UK and parts of Europe, working closely with a Head of HR in a lean, high impact team.

The role

This is a true generalist position with end to end responsibility across the employee lifecycle.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Managing ER cases end to end, including more complex issues
  • Supporting organisational change and restructuring activity
  • Coaching and advising managers across performance and people matters
  • Overseeing onboarding, offboarding, and contracts
  • Partnering with payroll and reward teams
  • Supporting internal communications (intranet, LinkedIn)
  • Assisting with recruitment when required
  • Organising employee engagement initiatives and events

This role requires someone comfortable operating across both strategic and administrative tasks - there is no dedicated HR support layer.

What we're looking for:
  • Proven HR generalist experience within a fast paced environment
  • Strong ER knowledge and confidence handling complex cases
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable operating in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Good Excel skills (reporting and data handling)
  • A hands on, proactive approach
