Job Description
- Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees, providing support and solving problems
- Provide general HR support across recruitment, compensation and benefits, learning and development, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, communications and administration
- Oversee the HR Advisor for the Chennai Office
- Update and improve the staff handbook and HR policies
- Train, support and coach managers on processes, procedures, employment legislation and best practice
- Support managers with performance management, development needs and employee growth
- Coordinate training and learning and development with external suppliers
- Facilitate mid-year and year-end performance review processes
- Lead recruitment and coach managers on selection best practice
- Maintain the finance team's Hiring Plan and communicate joiners and leavers
- Maintain job descriptions with heads and managers
- Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, including approving contracts and offer letters
- Ensure new employees have onboarding/induction plans and relevant information
- Maintain benefits, induction and policy documentation on Confluence
- Ensure personal data security and confidentiality
- Analyse and report HR metrics including headcount, turnover and absence
- Identify best practices, develop People initiatives, present recommendations to the Leadership team and lead project delivery
- Advise on compensation, benefits, remuneration issues and benchmark data
- Develop and implement projects requested by the SLT team
- Proven generalist HR experience in an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor role, with responsibility across the full employee lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice, employee relations, performance management and employee engagement
- Degree level qualification and/or professional HR qualification
- CIPD Level 5 is desirable (or comparable experience)
- Experience within a fast-growing, global, technology, fintech, or professional services environment
- Previous experience managing a junior HR team member is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong coaching and mentoring capability to support the development of managers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information/data professionally and appropriately
- Experience using HRIS/HR systems
- Knowledge of BambooHR would be advantageous
Demonstrates expertise in HR generalist functions, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations, while ensuring compliance with UK employment law. Proven ability to lead HR initiatives, coach managers, and manage sensitive information effectively.
