Job Description
We're working with a forward-thinking organisation in Edinburgh that's looking to bring on board an experienced HR Generalist to support the delivery of a broad range of HR services across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a generalist role and enjoys variety - from employee relations and recruitment to policy work and supporting employee engagement initiatives. You'll work closely with managers and employees, providing trusted advice and ensuring HR processes run smoothly and professionally. You'll also get involved in continuous improvement projects as the business looks to enhance its people offering.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and staff
- Support with employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary and absence cases
- Coordinate recruitment activity, onboarding, and induction
- Assist with updating policies, procedures, and HR documentation
- Help drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Maintain HR systems and produce reports when needed
- Proven experience in an HR Generalist or Advisor role
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confident supporting managers across the full employee lifecycle
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- CIPD qualified (or working towards) is desirable
