HR Advisor, 6 month FTC - Leading Membership Organisation - London with hybrid working - c£42,000
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide professional HR support to our client, a membership body. Working closely with managers and the HR Business Partner, you will deliver practical HR solutions, ensure compliance with UK employment law and policies, and support organisational change and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, probation, capability, and performance-related issues.
- Manage HR casework from initial assessment through to resolution, including conducting investigations, preparing documentation, and making recommendations.
- Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, consultations, and TUPE-related processes.
- Deliver training, coaching, and guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice.
- Review, update, and implement HR policies to ensure they remain effective, compliant, and aligned with organisational needs.
- Build strong working relationships with managers, acting as a trusted HR partner and providing proactive support.
- Monitor and analyse HR data, including absence, performance, and employee metrics, providing insights and recommendations to support decision making.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects, employee engagement activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge of employment law developments, HR trends, and best practice.
- Demonstrable experience managing employee relations cases and providing HR advice to managers.
- Experience supporting organisational change programmes and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law, HR policies, and effective people practices.
- Ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication, influencing, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously, use sound judgement, and escalating matters appropriately when required.
