At GXO, we're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at our Northampton (Pineham) site. This is an exciting opportunity to become a trusted advisor to operational leaders across both warehouse and transport functions, providing expert HR support and helping to deliver our people strategy. As a visible and influential member of the HR team, you'll play a key role in driving employee engagement, supporting organisational performance, managing complex employee relations matters, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
This is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 hours per week contracted. Based on-site Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts!
What you'll do on a typical day:
- Partner with managers across warehouse and transport operations, providing professional HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, and people matters
- Manage a variety of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, and long-term sickness processes
- Build strong relationships across the site through a visible HR presence, coaching managers and supporting colleagues at all levels
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, contributing to a positive culture and helping to create an environment where colleagues can thrive
- Analyse people data, identify trends, and support the delivery of the site people plan, HR projects, and wider business objectives
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure, in a fast-moving environment
- Solid knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice, including trade unions
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified (or working towards CIPD qualification)
