Job Description

If you're an HR Advisor currently bogged down in high-volume,
repetitive ER casework and looking to get back to something more
generalist where your days aren't just dictated by
disciplinaries, this could be the ideal move.

We are working with an established, progressive business offering
a genuinely flexible, high-trust working culture. They operate
with an outcomes-focused mindset, meaning you'll have real
autonomy over your diary while collaborating closely with a
small, agile people team where you can make a visible impact
across the whole employee lifecycle.

HR Advisor

Permanent

Up to £38,000

Remote (typically 1-2 days a month in the office near Rushden)

Reporting to the HR lead and operating as a core member of a
tight-knit HR function, this is a broad, varied role designed for
someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats. Unlike traditional
advisor positions heavily dominated by employee relations, the ER
caseload here is genuinely low. This leaves you with the actual
bandwidth to get involved in meaningful people initiatives, drive
employee engagement, and support the rollout of broader HR
projects across the business.

You will take ownership of the day-to-day HR operations while
partnering directly with line managers on everything from talent
attraction and onboarding to performance cycles and learning and
development interventions. You'll act as a consultative sounding
board for managers, coaching them through low-level queries,
helping drive a positive workplace culture, and always looking
for practical ways to streamline processes and reduce unnecessary
admin burden. The appeal here is variety and breathing space; you
won't be treated as an order-taker, but as a trusted advisor who
can keep things moving while contributing to the wider people
agenda.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive HR Generalist or Advisor with
experience operating across the full spectrum of people
activities. You should be someone who enjoys variety,
communicates with ease, and is comfortable working independently
in a remote, high-trust environment. Solid foundational knowledge
of UK employment legislation and HR best practice is essential,
but equally important is a collaborative attitude and willingness
to manage your own admin load. If you're looking for a balanced
role that offers fantastic flexibility and the scope to build
your experience in an HR function that rarely sees this kind of
opportunity come up, apply.
