Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced HR Advisor to join the HR team at our Luton manufacturing site. The role focuses on employee relations, disciplinary actions, investigations, and training support. It includes delivering training sessions, working with the HR Manager to conduct people reviews, and providing payroll support when required. This 12 month fixed term contract covers maternity leave.
Job Responsibilities- Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, handle day to day queries, lead formal investigations, and support managers with performance issues.
- Disciplinary & Investigations: Manage and facilitate the disciplinary process, lead or support investigations, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
- Training & Development: Coordinate and deliver training on employee relations, performance management and disciplinary procedures; collaborate with managers to assess training needs and monitor effectiveness.
- People Reviews: Support the HR Business Partner in conducting people reviews and performance appraisals; assist in identifying high potential employees and development needs.
- Payroll Support: Provide support for payroll processing during absences or staffing gaps, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records for investigations, disciplinary actions and performance management; assist with ad hoc HR tasks and projects.
- Proven experience in an HR advisory role with focus on employee relations, disciplinary matters and investigations.
- Strong understanding of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
- Ability to handle employee and manager queries effectively and to escalating to the HR Business Partner as required.
- Experience in delivering training and coaching to managers and teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in payroll support or familiarity with payroll processes is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification is desirable; significant experience in handling HR queries and providing guidance is essential.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
