About the RoleAs HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees across the business, providing expert HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in supporting our operational teams - including our night operation - ensuring our people practices are consistent, compliant, and effective. This is a hands on, generalist role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Location: London Key Responsibilities- Provide day to day HR advice and support to line managers on a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance.
- Support and coach managers to handle HR issues confidently and in line with company policy and employment legislation.
- Support the end to end recruitment processes for operational and support roles.
- Maintain and update HR records, ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance at all times.
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support the delivery of learning and development initiatives, including inductions and management training.
- Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of HR changes.
- Monitor and analyse key HR metrics (e.g. absence, turnover) and provide regular reporting to the HR Manager.
- Undertake occasional early starts to engage with, and provide support to, our night operation team.
- Contribute to HR projects and change initiatives as required.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards), or equivalent HR experience.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor or similar HR role.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations cases end-to-end.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied and busy workload.
- Comfortable working independently and using own initiative.
- Flexibility to occasionally work early start shifts to support the night operation.
- Experience working within a wholesale, logistics, food manufacturing, or similarly fast paced operational environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and HR reporting.
- Experience supporting shift-based or 24/7 operations.
