Job Description
HR Advisor - Luxembourg and Continental Europe

Northern Trust is seeking an HR Advisor to serve as a consultant to managers and individual contributors, providing HR guidance to relevant internal client groups. The successful candidate will consult with management on the interpretation and application of corporate human resources programs, build and maintain relationships with managers, and deliver HR solutions that address business issues and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with managers on a variety of employment related situations and partner with managers on change initiatives with people impacts.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to managers and partners on dispute resolution, disciplinary action, regulatory compliance, problem solving, redundancy and litigation avoidance.
  • Act as a liaison between managers, HR Business Partners and other HR functions to ensure coordinated efforts in line with internal client needs.
  • Support the implementation of HR programs (career planning, performance management, etc.) and coach managers in supporting a culture committed to employee engagement, development and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all regional, country, local and company regulations and HR related company guidelines and policies.
  • Maintain awareness of, and partner with Talent Acquisition to help achieve a high quality, diverse talent pipeline.
  • May participate in functional and cross functional initiatives to improve HR processes and collaboration.
  • Handle highly sensitive, confidential work with integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Experience in consulting, business partnering or employee relations.
  • Solid understanding of risk associated with employment law.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with employees and management at all levels.
  • Experience working with clients in multiple jurisdictions is advantageous.
  • Exceptional ability to organize and execute responsibilities.
