Description

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new staff.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law.
  • Assist with the implementation of HR policies and initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programmes for staff and managers.
  • Analyse HR data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to improve organisational performance.
  • Support the Human Resources team with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as needed.

Profile

A successful HR Advisor should have:

  • Provide proactive, day-to-day HR advice and coaching to line managers across the full employee lifecycle
  • Advise on employee relations matters including performance, capability, absence, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and redeployment
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures and employment law, escalating complex or high-risk issues when required
  • Support leaders to effectively manage workforce planning, retention, engagement and organisational capability
  • Deliver operational HR activity aligned to organisational priorities, legal requirements and best practice
  • Develop, implement and maintain HR systems, tools, processes and reporting mechanisms
  • Produce and analyse people data and management information to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects and change initiatives, including policy development and implementation
  • Work collaboratively with recruitment, learning & development and wider People Services teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Champion equality, inclusion and a high-performance culture across the organisation
