HR Administrator (Temporary)
Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm
Contract Type: Temporary
The OpportunityHawk3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Temporary HR Administrator to join their established engineering business based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused HR professional to join a growing engineering organisation, providing essential HR administration support across the business. Working as part of the HR team, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting recruitment activities and assisting with day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day HR administrative support across the business.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and personnel files.
- Support the onboarding process, including preparing documentation, right-to-work checks and new starter administration.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including vacancy administration, interview scheduling and candidate communication.
- Prepare HR documentation, including contracts, letters, policies and employee correspondence.
- Support absence management processes, including monitoring records and preparing reports.
- Assist with payroll administration, ensuring employee information is accurate and submitted on time.
- Maintain HR databases and produce reports as required.
- Support training and development administration, including maintaining training records.
- Assist with employee queries and provide guidance on HR processes and procedures.
- Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all HR documentation is handled confidentially and in line with GDPR requirements.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider HR team.
- Previous experience within an HR Administration role or similar position.
- Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing, construction or technical environment.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and administration.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation and best practice.
- CIPD qualification or working towards one.
