HR Administrator (Temporary)
Location: Newcastle - Office-based 4 days a week, 1 day a week from home
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday
Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: £15.20 per hour REED PAYE
We are pleased to be supporting a well-established organisation as they seek an experienced HR Administrator to join their Newcastle-based team during a period of structural change. This is a key support role within a high-touch HR function, with the potential to develop into a permanent opportunity. Working within a collaborative HR team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR administration, maintaining accurate systems, and supporting improved processes across the employee lifecycle. This opportunity is ideal for an organised and detail-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering high-quality administrative support.
The Role
As HR Administrator, you will provide efficient and accurate administrative support across a broad range of HR activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the HR inbox, responding to administrative queries and escalating more complex matters to HR Advisors or Business Partners
- Maintaining and updating employee data within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy for reporting and payroll purposes
- Supporting the ongoing management and optimisation of HR systems (experience with HRIS platforms is essential; CIPHR experience would be highly advantageous)
- Organising and restructuring the People SharePoint, including personnel files, archiving, and ensuring a clear and logical document structure
- Administering employee benefits, including processing starters and leavers and maintaining accurate scheme records
- Supporting general HR administration across the employee lifecycle
You will support a group population of approximately 210 employees, contributing to a function that is working to enhance automation and enable greater manager and employee self-service.

We are looking for a proactive and reliable HR Administrator who is confident managing multiple priorities and maintaining high standards of accuracy.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in an HR Administration role
- Strong experience using HR systems (HRIS); CIPHR knowledge would be an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confidence managing high-volume administrative tasks
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A proactive approach and willingness to support process improvements
