Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £47,000 DOE

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded People Advisor to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation, supporting managers and stakeholders across a large operational workforce. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional who enjoys employee relations, stakeholder engagement and driving positive people outcomes. Based in Manchester covering other destinations in the North including Scotland.

You will play a key role in supporting organisational objectives through effective people management and will have the opportunity to develop towards a People Business Partner position.

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional advice on employment legislation, policies, procedures and best practice.
- Support managers with employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues.
- Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in managing people matters.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Produce people data, reports and management information to support decision-making.
- Support the implementation of new people initiatives, policies and processes.
- Deliver training and guidance to managers on people-related matters.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the People function.
- Support a dedicated business area while working closely with the wider People team.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience supporting managers with employee relations casework.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and integrity.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to thrive in a busy, operational environment.
- CIPD qualification
- Experience working with trade unions and collectively bargained environments.
- Experience within related industries transport, logistics, engineering, manufacturing or other operationally focused sectors.
- Flexible to travel to other locations
- Driving licence and own car due to travelling to other locations
