Are you an experienced Housing Officer looking for your next contract?
We're recruiting for a Housing Officer to join a leading housing provider covering Plymouth and South Hams. This is a field-based role where you'll manage tenancies, support residents, tackle neighbourhood issues and help create safe, well-maintained communities.

The Role
You'll be the main point of contact for residents across your patch, delivering a high standard of housing and tenancy management services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing tenancy enquiries and providing advice and support to residents
- Carrying out tenancy sign-ups and property viewings
- Investigating and managing tenancy breaches, including safeguarding concerns
- Monitoring estate standards and contractor performance
- Building positive relationships with residents, colleagues and partner agencies
- Supporting community engagement initiatives and neighbourhood sustainability
- Ensuring tenancy agreements and housing policies are adhered to
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience within social housing
- Experience of tenancy, estate and housing management
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and competing priorities
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- CIH Level 4 qualification, or willingness to work towards it
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
What's on Offer
- Salary equivalent of £39,923 per annum
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Field-based role covering Plymouth and South Hams
- Immediate start available
- Initial 2-month contract with potential to be extended
