Housing Officer - Temporary Opportunity

A Housing Officer - Temporary Opportunity is available in Plymouth, covering a patch that also extends into South Hams. This full-time, two-month contract (with possible extension) pays £20.75 per hour for 37 hours weekly, Monday to Friday. You will manage a portfolio of tenancies, acting as the primary contact for residents. Duties include conducting sign-ups, viewings, and management visits, addressing tenancy breaches, and supporting safeguarding cases.

Monitoring estate standards and contractor performance is key, alongside collaborating with residents and partner agencies to foster safe communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of tenancies and be the main point of contact for residents
• Carry out tenancy sign-ups, viewings and tenancy management visits
• Manage tenancy breaches and support safeguarding cases
• Monitor estate standards and contractor performance
• Work with residents and partner agencies to build safe, sustainable communities
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve tenancy-related enquiries

We're Looking For

• Previous experience in social housing, tenancy or neighbourhood management
• Strong customer service and case management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to manage a busy and varied workload
• CIH Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work towards)
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
