HOUSING OFFICER - SOUTH HAMS / PLYMOUTH

The Housing Officer - South Hams / Plymouth position, based in Plymouth, is a temporary contract paying £20.75 per hour. This full-time role requires 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an initial term of one month and potential for extension. You will manage a designated patch, handling tenancy management, sign-ups, and viewings. Responsibilities include addressing breaches, safeguarding issues, and maintaining estate standards. The role involves resident engagement and collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Applicants need social housing experience, a full UK driving licence, and access to a vehicle. A CIH Level 4 qualification is desirable, and a basic DBS check is required.

We're looking for an experienced Housing Officer to manage a patch across Plymouth and South Hams. You'll be responsible for:

• Tenancy and housing management
• Customer queries and tenancy enquiries
• Tenancy sign-ups and viewings
• Tenancy breaches and safeguarding
• Estate/community standards
• Resident engagement
• Working with internal teams and external partners

Essential:

• Social housing experience
• Tenancy, estate and housing management experience
• CIH Level 4 or willing to work towards
• Full UK driving licence + access to a vehicle
• Strong customer service and organisational skills
• Basic DBS required
• Right to work in the UK for the full contract
