Housekeeping Assistant

Introduction

We are looking for a reliable and caring Housekeeping Assistant to join our team and help maintain clean, comfortable, and welcoming environments across our village Austin Heath. We are driven by a clear purpose: to build real communities that enhance the lives of our residents every single day.

Working Hours

15 hour role working on a rotating two week pattern:

• Week 1: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Role

• Cleaning designated areas, ensuring they are kept tidy, hygienic, and welcoming
• Carrying out housekeeping duties within residents' homes with care and discretion
• Maintaining communal areas so they are consistently neat, tidy, and well presented
• Cleaning floors, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and polishing furniture and woodwork
• Emptying and relining waste bins, following correct disposal procedures
• Cleaning windows and glass surfaces within reach
• Carrying out laundry duties efficiently and to a high standard
• Adhering to COSHH regulations and maintaining a safe working environment at all times

Key Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Housekeeping Assistant, Housekeeper, or Cleaner
• Self motivated, personable, and able to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and visitors
• Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to respond to changing priorities and shift patterns
• A basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards is desirable, though full training will be provided
