Job Description
Housekeeping Assistant - West Midlands Hospice

Contract type: As and when required, on a fixed-term basis for six months.

Working pattern: Shifts typically run between 7.00am and 4.00pm, with details to be discussed at interview.

Salary and enhancements: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, Band 2: £12.92 per hour, plus enhanced rates for Sunday and Bank Holiday hours of up to 83% of the basic hourly rate.

Location: Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice, Solihull.

Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience working in a housekeeping role.
  • Experience and understanding of COSHH regulations.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Empathy with the values and ethos of hospice care.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience working within a healthcare environment.
  • NVQ Level 1 in Housekeeping.
  • GCSE-level education (or equivalent).
