House Keeper

We require a caring, highly motivated ward housekeeper to join our team. You will possess excellent communication skills, work well as part of a team and can work in an extremely busy and challenging environment. We are committed to providing a high standard of care to our patients using a multi disciplinary team approach. This role on the ward will be over a 7 day week including weekends.

Job responsibilities

• Stock check weekly and more often as necessary
• Ordering materials and stock for the ward
• Filling up linen cupboard
• Assisting with drinks and food and ordering meals daily for patients
• Keeping the ward tidy
• Escalating any issues to the correct people
• Mixing with a wide team of health professionals
• Maintaining professional at all times
• Following the trust values
• Ordering meals for patients when required and liaising with kitchen

Education and Training

• Qualifications NVQ Level 2 or 3
• Training Food Hygiene
• Expert Literacy Skills
• Practical Skills - able to organise own workload as part of a team, ensure tidiness, cleanliness of ward and efficiency
• Physically able to fulfil all physical requirements of the post with occupational health clearance
• Must be eligible to work in the UK and have an awareness of trust policies and protocols

Knowledge, Experience and Expertise

• Experience of organising a work area
• Experience in a healthcare setting
