We are seeking an experienced Hotel Category Manager to support the Supplier and Category Management function of our Global Travel and Events program. This role focuses on developing travel programs for Tech Company employees, supporting supplier management initiatives, customer loyalty, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
The ideal candidate will quickly develop partnerships with stakeholders, manage supplier relationships, and drive program goals, projects, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Support travel supplier spend and program strategies aligned with business goals.
- Assist Travel Service Managers with customer experience issues and resolution strategies.
- Enhance employee experience through value creation projects, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support sourcing events from requirement gathering to implementation.
- Conduct cost and savings analysis, evaluate options, and recommend suppliers.
- Contribute to strategic planning, roadmaps, and leadership alignment.
- Prepare white papers, business reviews, and strategic documents to influence decisions.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to share best practices and foster innovation.
- Implement and monitor new travel tools, tracking adoption and improvements.
- Support travel communications and marketing activities.
- Perform market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate existing ones.
- Report on productivity metrics for global travel projects.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in category management, travel, or meeting supplier management.
- Proven support for travel initiatives and programs.
- Experience working with remote or virtual teams.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with experience in strategic discussions.
- Innovative, results-oriented, and adept at process improvements.
- Deep understanding of the travel and meetings industry ecosystem.
- Experience with travel supply base, technologies, and management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
